STAR AUTOMATIONS // AI CONSULTING // ACCEPTING CLIENTS
AI consulting & automation
Automation, engineered like it has to fly.
Star Automations designs, builds, and maintains AI systems and workflow automation for small and mid-size businesses — taking over the work that eats your team's week: follow-ups, scheduling, invoicing, reporting.
Heritage
Founded by an aerospace engineer — 20+ years building systems that had to work the first time. That discipline now runs back offices instead of flight hardware.
Capabilities
What we build
Four ways we take work off your plate. Every engagement starts by mapping your actual process — not by selling you software.
-
01
Workflow automation
The repetitive work that lives between your tools — CRM updates, invoice chasing, onboarding packets, weekly reports — rebuilt as pipelines that run on schedule or on trigger. Built on n8n, Zapier, or Make, and documented so you own it.
Typical builds
- Invoices that follow up on themselves until they're paid
- New leads captured, enriched, and routed to your CRM in seconds
- Monday-morning ops reports assembled before you wake up
-
02
AI chatbots & agents
Assistants trained on your business — your services, pricing, and policies — that answer customers, qualify leads, and book appointments around the clock, and know exactly when to hand a conversation to a human.
Typical builds
- Website concierge that answers questions and books calls
- Email triage that drafts replies for your approval
- After-hours voice agent that never misses a lead
-
03
AI strategy & audits
A working map of where AI actually pays off in your operation — and where it doesn't. We trace your processes, measure the hours being burned, and hand you a prioritized roadmap you can execute with us or without us.
Typical builds
- Process and tooling audit with an hour-by-hour cost breakdown
- Prioritized automation roadmap with payback estimates
- Straight build-vs-buy recommendations
-
04
Custom AI solutions
For the problems off-the-shelf tools can't touch: document processing, internal knowledge bases your team can query in plain English, and integrations between systems that were never designed to talk to each other.
Typical builds
- A company knowledge base your staff can actually search
- Contracts and invoices read, extracted, and filed automatically
- Two stubborn systems, finally in sync
Process
From first call to running system
The same sequence every time — because a repeatable process is what makes the result dependable.
-
01
Discovery
A 30-minute call. You describe the work that eats the week; we flag what's automatable and roughly what that's worth.
-
02
Audit & design
We map the process end to end — tools, handoffs, failure points — and spec the system on paper before anything is built.
-
03
Build & test
Built in a sandbox and tested against your real cases — including the messy ones — before it touches live operations.
-
04
Launch
Deployed alongside your team, with documentation and training. Nothing goes live until you've watched it run.
-
05
Monitor & improve
Every system is watched and tuned after launch. When your process changes, the automation changes with it.
The founder
From flight systems to business systems
I spent more than twenty years as an aerospace engineer, working on systems where the margin for error was effectively zero. That kind of work drills habits into you: define the requirement precisely, design deliberately, test against reality, document everything — and never ship anything you wouldn't put your name on.
Star Automations exists because small businesses deserve that same discipline. The AI industry likes to move fast and break things. Your payroll, your customer relationships, and your reputation are not things to break.
So I build automation the way I built flight hardware: scoped carefully, tested before launch, and engineered to run quietly for years.
Questions
Asked and answered
What does a typical engagement look like?
Most clients start with a discovery call, then a fixed-scope audit of one painful process. From there, builds are quoted as fixed projects with defined deliverables — no open-ended retainers. Ongoing monitoring is optional and month-to-month.
Do we need to be technical to work with you?
No. Everything is explained in plain language, documented, and handed over with training. You own every system we build — nothing is held hostage.
Will we have to change the tools we already use?
Usually not. Automation works best when it connects the tools you already run — your CRM, inbox, calendar, and accounting. If one of your tools is genuinely the bottleneck, we'll tell you straight and show you the math.
How long does a build take?
Most single-workflow automations run two to four weeks from audit to launch. Larger systems are broken into phases, so you see working pieces early instead of waiting months for a reveal.
What happens after launch?
Systems are monitored, measured, and tuned — by us on a light monthly plan, or by your team using the documentation and runbooks we hand over. Either way, you're never locked in.
